Commission for Tongan Royal Family

Tina Cooper is extremely honoured to have been chosen to create a Scent Bottle- Memorial Urn (Tongan Term = hina consela) for members of the Tongan Royal Family to be a gift as part of the funeral ceremonies for the late King George Tupou V. King George Tupou V passed away on the 18th March 2012 and his burial has been scheduled for Tuesday 27th March in Nuku'alofa,Tonga.

"Guns and Roses" Exhibition

Tina is launching her new work at her new premises in Eumundi at her exhibition Titled "Guns and Roses" which will be part of the Official opening of her Gallery at 93 Memorial Drive. The opening is destined for the weekend 28-29 January 2012.

One of the leading figures in Australian Studio glass, she uses Nature - Earth, Fire, Water and Air - to create her art, reflecting her passionate relationship with the environment from which she sources her inspiration.

Tina's Journey

Tina Cooper began her journey into the amazing world of glass blowing when she met Mark Galton. Mark was an accomplished glass blower in his own right and he shared his knowledge with Tina over the years that they were together. She began her apprenticeship in 1990 and has developed her skills in leaps and bounds since then. Today she is recognised as one of the leading glass artists in the world.

"Totally Wild" TV Shoot at Tina's Gallery

The Tina Cooper Gallery at the top end of town in Eumundi was proud to host the TV crew from Channel 10’s “Totally Wild” programme. They approached Tina to do a story about glass blowing which is her passion in life and she felt very privileged to be able to share this passion with their many viewers.

Vase Goes to Malaysia

One of the Galleries that sells Tina's work, Boondi Aboriginal Art Gallery in Bondi beach NSW, has advised us that they have sold a Sunrise Vase with embellishment added by Peter Mulcahy (Didge Player Scene) to the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Timbalan Perdana Menteri. The vase will be on display in their Embassy or in the Parliament of Malaysia.
